Oh, hey

It has been ten years since I graduated from the Dunedin School of Art. Ten years in the proverbial desert working and living and searching for that thing that I am supposed to do. That thing that helps me see what the point of everything is.

Painting is that thing.

I use painting as a means to tell stories as a means to make sense of the things I have gone through, so there is a distinctive narrative quality to a significant body of my work.

I am interested in shared experience, in the bigger themes that we can connect to in spite of our perceived differences. I want my work to transcend time and space, to move people no matter where, when or from which context they are viewing it in.

Most of all, I want you to enjoy what you see and I want to enjoy making the things I make.

Thanks for popping by!
